Residential Parking Decals
If you live downtown in one of the Peninsula Parking Districts (Districts A - J), you may obtain a Residential Parking Decal at the Revenue Collections Parking Division office.

This office is located at 180 Lockwood Blvd. on the second floor. Hours of operation are Monday through Tuesday, 8:30 a.m. - 6 p.m., and Wednesday though Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Each residential unit within a parking district is allowed a maximum of two decal that may be issued to residents of that particular unit. All unpaid parking citations must be paid in full before a new residential parking decal can be issued. Please call 843-724-7375 if you have any questions.

Homeowner Decals
Please note that Homeowner Parking Decals are non-transferable, annual decals which are valid until the calendar year ends.

If you are the homeowner, you must provide the following in order to obtain an annual parking permit:
  1. One of the following:
    • Copy of current property tax receipt or current property tax bill
    • Copy of closing statement for new property purchases (new owners only)
  2. One of the following:
    • Copy of the vehicle registration for each vehicle requiring a permit; if vehicle registration is in a company name and/or the homeowner’s and vehicle owner’s last names differ, please provide a notarized statement from the company or individual authorizing use of the vehicle
    • If applicable, the current bill of sale from the recent purchase of a new vehicle
  3. Cost of the permit: $10

Forms of payment accepted are: cash (only in person at the 180 Lockwood office), check, money order, debit card, Visa, or MasterCard.

Renter Decals
Please note that Renter Parking Decals are non-transferable, biannual decals are valid for the periods of January 1 through June 30 and July 1 through December 31.

If you are the renter, you must provide the following in order to obtain a biannual parking permit:
  1. One of the following:
    • The current lease agreement
    • Note: Altered leases (e.g. those that have been modified by white out or by marking through previous tenant names) will not be accepted
    • A notarized form outlining the terms of rental agreement if a lease does not exist
  2. One of the following:
    • Copy of the current vehicle’s registration; if vehicle registration is in a company name and/or the renter’s and vehicle owner’s last names differ, please provide a notarized statement from the company or individual authorizing use of the vehicle
    • If applicable, the current bill of sale from the recent purchase of a new vehicle
  3. Cost of the permit: $7.50
  4. Forms of payment accepted:
    • Cash (only in person at the 180 Lockwood office)
    • Check
    • Money order
    • Debit card
    • Visa
    • MasterCard
  5. Note: Renters may apply for their residential parking permits beginning in January (for January - June) and then again in June (for July - December)
